Christo Doyle

Christo is a proud product of public school. He went to private school once in his life and didn’t like it. Public school gave Christo the foundation for a 20 year career at Discovery Communications and roles at NBC Sports, ESPN and National Geographic Television. At Discovery Channel, he produced some of the biggest, most successful series in the history of the company including Gold Rush, Dirty Jobs, American Chopper, Monster Garage, Dual Survival and Flying Wild Alaska. He won the first and only Sports Emmy for Discovery for his work with Lance Armstrong and was the Executive Producer of the Emmy nominated Steven Spielberg/Dreamworks series The Rising: Rebuilding Ground Zero. In a strange twist, Christo ended up in front of the camera, hosting nine seasons of the Gold Rush aftershow, The Dirt, and is still regularly recognized in airport bars. He has even hosted several live broadcasts and claims they took years off of his life. In founding Public School Productions, Christo achieved a lifelong goal and is dedicated to continuing to make content that is unlike anything else out there.

Christo’s goal is simple - work with great people to tell great stories.

Amy Doyle

Amy does her best to fit in with the cool public school crowd but she actually went to private school. Like many native Washingtonians, she grew up surrounded by politics and media, but was fascinated by the latter.  She started her career as a desk assistant at NBC News where she worked her way up.  Amy quickly realized that she wanted to spend more time telling people’s stories and jumped into producing and directing long form documentaries.  She worked on shows in Hollywood for American Movie Classics, shows about war for the Military Channel, shows about fishermen for the History Channel and even spent weeks on a boat searching for a sunken ship off the coast of Argentina for National Geographic.  But it was an assignment at Discovery Studios that led to her first big hit as the director/producer of Hoarding: Buried Alive.  Then, after years as a showrunner, she changed teams and became a network executive at TLC overseeing some of the biggest franchises on the channel including Sister Wives, Long Island Medium, 7 Little Johnstons, 90 Day Fiancé: Love in Paradise and My Strange Addiction.

Amy’s goal - tell true stories about real people doing incredible things.
